Definition
6th industrialization integrates the primary sector (agriculture, forestry, fisheries), the secondary sector (manufacturing and processing), and the tertiary sector (distribution, sales, and services) into a unified value chain.
As expressed by the formulas “1+2+3=6” and “1×2×3=6”, by adding the value of processing, distribution, and services to agriculture, we enable sustainable rural and agricultural development and improve farmer incomes.
Why It Matters
- Move beyond single-sector dependence toward integrated value creation
- Generate new industries and employment in rural areas
- Preserve regional brands and culture, with linkages to tourism and education
- Serve as a shared development model across all of Asia
